Robert S. Bryant, Jr.
Robert S. Bryant, Jr., 55, affectionately called “Junior” by family, was born on October 11, 1970 in Lonoke, Arkansas, to the late Robert Bryant, Sr. and Okie Bryant of Little Rock, Arkansas. He departed his earthly life to his heavenly home on March 30, 2026. He professed his love for Christ at an early age and began his journey in support of numerous churches. He is preceded in death by his father Robert S. Bryant, Sr., brothers Dwight Bryant and Derrick Bryant.
Robert graduated from Lonoke High School in 1989. He was recognized as an All-Conference basketball player, voted Class Favorite and Student Council officer by his peers and was a committed member of the Future Business Leaders of America and the National Honor Society and delivered a famed role in the musical “The Drunkard”. In 1994, he graduated with honors with a Bachelor of Science degree from Arkansas State University in Jonesboro, Arkansas. He started his career in education with the Arkansas School for Mathematics, Sciences and the Arts and he never looked back. For the next 3 decades, he dedicated his life, talents and skills to leadership development of young people including roles as a Residential Counselor (ASMSA – 5 years), Teacher (Arkansas Governor’s School), Director of Enrollment (Missouri State Univ – 11 years) and Deputy Director (Arkansas Boys State – 3 decades). Most recently, he served as a Business Development Partner with Parker Clay Agency.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving mother, Okie Bryant; his siblings: Connie Wordlaw (Obie) of Little Rock, Tanya Bryant of Little Rock, AR, Sherman Bryant of Chicago, Illinois, Debbie Daniels (Willie) of Chicago, Illinois, Sheila McBride of Little Rock, AR, and Terry Bunch (Sharon) of North Little Rock, AR. Robert is also survived by a special niece, Kelsey Bryant; two special nephews, Evan and Chase Wordlaw; a special great-nephew, Peyton Thompson; and a special great-niece, Chaia Wordlaw. He also leaves behind his goddaughter, Kymille Harrison of Jonesboro, AR and his godson, Luke Bryant Cockerham of Chattanooga, TN, along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
Robert will be remembered for his dedication, his service to others, and the lasting impact he made on all who knew him.
