Bernice LaShantae Lanae

Bernice LaShantae Lanae was May 1, 1996 at UAMS to Jacqueline Smith and Leonard Watts, Jr. of Lakeview, Arkansas
She attended Jacksonville Elementary then to Hamburg Middle School and graduated from Hall High School in Little Rock, in 2014. Later she attended Arkansas Baptist College.

During her adolescent years Bernice was raised by Dr. Clifton and Marilyn Conley and was affectionately called “Baby Gurl” by Dr. Conley.

Bernice united with Mount Sinai Missionary Baptist Church as a candidate for Baptism under the leadership of Dr. Clifton A. Conley.

Where she participated in the Youth Ministry, Youth Choir and the Preforming Arts Ministry (PAM).

On January 1, 2026 Bernice surrendered to the call of the Lord to come Home.

Bernice was preceded in death by her grandmothers: Bernice Smith and Mary Turner, her grandfather Leonard Watts, Sr., uncle John Curtis Smith and her favorite Aunt, Tammy Turner Jackson.

She is survived by her Mother, Jacqueline Smith, Her father, Leonard Watts, Jr. and (Daddy) Clifton A. and (Mother) Marilyn Conley. Also her aunts, Aunt Bea, Aunt Peaches, and Aunt Juanita of Memphis and great Uncle Roy of Memphis. Her brothers Leonard “De” (Lakisha) Smith; Darnell “Quana” (Cindy) Smith of Jacksonville, Arkansas and Christopher (“Peek a 6oo” Smith of St. Louis, MO. Betty Watts of Ohio and Linda _

Georgia. Special Nephew, Landen (Bam) Smith and Neice, Bella (Bell) Smith. A host of Cousins, nephews, nieces and Mt. Sinai Baptist Church Family.
Life Celebration: Saturday, 11:00am, both held at Mt. Sinai Baptist Church, 8815 W 34th St, Little Rock, AR. Services entrusted to Robinson Mortuary, 1201 Dr. MLK Jr. Drive, LR, AR. 501-371-0111. “Service You Can Trust”
