Campy Ray Nelson October 13, 1956 – September 26, 2025

With deep sadness, we announce the passing of Campy Ray Nelson, 68, who departed this life on September 26, 2025.

His vibrant spirit and infectious humor touched the lives of all who knew him.

Campy Ray leaves behind a loving family including his children, Sherric Nelson Sr. and Tiffany Davis; his siblings, Gina Nelson, Cedric Nelson, and Michael Nelson; along with numerous nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins, and cherished friends.

He was proceeded in death by his beloved mother, Grace Nelson, father, Spencer Nelson, and brother, Alvin Nelson Sr.

Throughout his life’s journey, Campy Ray pursued various professional endeavors, but he will be most remembered for his charming personality, wonderful sense of humor, and dynamic presence that brightened any room he entered. We are so thrilled that Campy Ray was added to the Church of Christ on May 3, 2025.
