Bertha Mae Allen, 82, of Little Rock, Arkansas departed this life April 30, 2026. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings: Jerry Lee, Freddie Lee, Jack Jr., Robert Louis, Charles Lee, John Lee, Jerry Louis, and Lorene (All Higgins). Joe Louis Graham, Betty Lou Williams, Jennie Mae Higgins-Selim, and Pearlie Mae Berry.

Bertha Mae was blessed with nine children, of which seven she leaves to cherish her memories. Evangeline Denise Russell of Flint, Michigan, Willie Charles Shields, Jr. of Muskegon, Michigan, Michael Landon Shields of Cape Coral, Florida, Janette Shields of Little Rock, Arkansas, Angela Nelson-Rushing (Michael), of Little Rock, Arkansas, Joe Alex Nelson Jr. of Milwaukee, Wisconsin and Cora Lee Shields (Aaron),of Zephyrhills, Florida.
She is survived by: Denise Sharp (her youngest sister), of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Brothers: Manual Higgins, Jr., of Elkhart, Indiana, Grady Lee Higgins (Tracy), of Jackson, Michigan, Oliver Higgins of Jackson, Tennessee, Jimmie Lee Higgins, Dexter Sharp, and Larry Donnell Higgins (All from Milwaukee, Wisconsin).

Additionally, Bertha Mae is survived by twenty-one grandchildren, twenty-eight great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren. She also held close to her heart, two very special friends: Hattie Wilson and Helen Branch of Tampa, Florida.
