Charles Thomas Grider, was born March 2, 1942, in Vanndale Arkansas. He was the third child of the late, Neal and Henry Grider. He attended Vanndale High School. Through his growing up, and after, he was grown up. He had many nicknames. In high school, his nick name, was Dock, then after that it was, Romeo, Honey, Toothpick, Longwind, Honey, then Pop, Pops, and Mr. G.

He often said the main ones was Dock and Mr. G.

Charles T. Grider was united in holy matrimony to Jhonnie Mae Cooper on. July 3, 1994. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Cornelia Grider, Leon Grider, his sister, Edith Crutchfield, step son, Christopher Wesley, two daughters, Lisa and Cassandra Grider, step children, Jerry Wesley, Bonita Dickson, and John (Joann) Cooper Jr., and a host of grandkids, nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
