With heavy hearts and deep love, we announce the passing of our precious baby girl, Oaklynn A’Shey Pye, who was called home on April 27, 2026. Though her time on this earth was brief, Oaklynn filled every moment with warmth, innocence, and a love that will remain with her family forever.

Oaklynn was a cherished daughter of Ty’Shawn Pye and Myia Jefferson, whose lives were forever changed by her gentle presence. In her short time, she brought immeasurable joy to her siblings, Lei’Lani Jackson and Ty’Aire Pye, who will carry her memory in their hearts always.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Lloyd Barnes, who now holds her in eternal peace.

Oaklynn leaves behind a loving family who will forever treasure her memory: her grandmothers, Lakeshya Scott and Michalea Pye; her Pawpaw, Michael Jefferson; and her great-grandfather, Paul Barnes, Sr. She is also lovingly remembered by her aunts—Heaven Barnes, Zoee King, Monique Robinson, and Mattie Brooks—and her uncles, Jaylon Scott and Michael Jefferson (Zay), along with a host of extended family and friends who were touched by her brief but meaningful life.

Though Oaklynn’s time here was short, her impact is everlasting. She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered as a beautiful light in the lives of those who knew her.
