Jarris La Mann Rosby
Jarris LaMann Rosby was born December 3,1973, in Little Rock, AR to Russell L. & Mae E. Rosby as the fifth of six children. On November 20, 2024, he transitioned from this life. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents George & Modene Rosby and maternal grandparents Vernon & Erenstine “Polly” Whitehead.
On July 8, 2008, Jarris was baptized and added to the Lord’s church at the Airport Church of Christ under the leadership of Thomas N. Hartaway Jr. He graduated from Sylvan Hills High School, Class of 1992. Jarris worked for many years at The Faded Rose Restaurant and later worked for the City of Little Rock. He eventually took on the role of full-time caregiver for his father, Russell L. Rosby. He was adored by his Fourche community, especially the children who loved him. Everyone was drawn to his lively spirit and infectious laugh. He earned the nickname “Block Captain” because he was always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. He was affectionately known by his family as “Bubba.” He leaves to cherish his memory, his fiancée Silvia Ballard, three children—daughters LaShay and LaKia and son Kedrick. His siblings, Russell D. (Stacey) Rosby, Vic (Vanessa) Rosby, Sharland (Tim) Fields, Tamiea Echenique, and Krisharna Rosby. A host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
