Henry Houston Rodgers
Henry Houston Rodgers, 74, left this earth to be with the Lord on Sunday afternoon May 21, 2023, after an extended illness at the Veteran’s Hospital Little Rock.
He was preceded in death by his father Henry Herman Rodgers and his grandparents.
Henry was the owner/operator of Rodgers Shoe Services for 35 years. Henry was one of the first Afro American to integrate Southwest Junior High School in 1961. He was a member of St Mark Baptist Church.
He is survived by, son, Bryon Rodgers (Erica), daughter, Carissa Rodgers, his mother Alberta T. Rodgers, 5 sisters-Vivian D. Littrell, Barbara Rodgers-Mason, Paula Rodgers-Ward, Paulette Rodgers, Grace Martin (Bruce), grandson Kwinten Rodgers, uncle Robert Turner, Kansas City KS, and his best friend Constance H. Rodgers and a treasure trove of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
