He started his journey working with Farmers driving tractors and planting cotton at a young age. He went on to pursue his love for working with his hands performing jobs such as tree cutting services at large Timber Companies.
Cedell’s true passion in life was exploring nature outdoors – Nature. he worked for many years as a Contractor before retiring. LC hobbies included, fishing hunting, working on cars, carpentry and many other building skills. He loved to share these hobbies with anyone who would listen. in the community lc loved helping his neighbors, friends and was a great protector of his family.
he had such a giving heart that he would go far and beyond to make sure everyone was safe and secure. He often tried his best to support anyone in need.
LC leaves behind his brother, Charles Thornton, Lakeland, Florida, daughter Lashunda Thornton-Baker, Little Rock, Arkansas, Sisters, Maxine Thornton, Chicago, IL, Lena & David Gilbert, Little Rock, Arkansas, Cora & Robert Williams, Chicago Il, Bobbie Thornton, Lakeland Florida, Claria Gibson, Tallahassee, Florida, Delorise Thornton, Atlanta, Georgia, brother, George Thornton, Tallahassee, Florida and a host of nieces, nephews and grandchildren.
God has given him three scores and ten years that he promised he would give him. Faith and blessings have allowed us to see him through it all. If LC was present, “he would say, Although I’m absent from my body now I’m present with my Lord.” So, mourn if you must but know that I’m always with you. I’m still holding your hand and will forever be in your hearts watching over you.
To all friends and family thank you for your kindness. The family asks that donations to be made instead of flowers. No services will be held as LC had requested a private ash scattering ceremony at his favorite fishing location.
